Michigan Baked Oatmeal

2 c. old fashioned oatmeal
4 c milk (low fat is okay)
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 c. sliced almonds
1/2 c. dried cherries
1 large Granny Smith Apple, unpeeled, grated
Recipe
Turn oven to 400 degrees. Coat a 3-quart casserole pan with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, combine oats, milk, almond flavoring, sugar, almonds, cherries and apple. Mix well. Transfer to baking dish. Sprinkle top with additional almonds. Bake 45 minutes. Serve hot.
