List of Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 small green pepper, seeded & chopped (1/2 cup)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (15-oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
2 tsp. chili powder
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper (optional)
1/8 tsp.pepper
1 bay leaf
Shredded cheddar cheese (optional)Recipe
* Crumble ground beef into a 2-qt. casserole. Stir in onion,
green pepper, & garlic. cover & cook on 100% power for 5 to 6 min.
or until beef is done, stirring once to break up meat. Drain.
* Stir in kidney beans; undrained tomatoes; soup; chili powder;
red pepper, if desired; pepper; & bay leaf. Cook, covered, on high
for 5 min. Stir. Cook, covered, on 50% power, stirring twice.
Remove bay leaf. Serve with shredded cheese, if desired.
Serves 4 or 5.
