* 1 Pound Red Kidney Beans -- Cooked
* 3 Quarts Beef Broth
* 4 Ounces Ham -- Chopped
* 2 Large Onion -- Chopped
* 2 Large Bell Pepper -- Chopped
* 1 Stalk Celery -- Chopped
* 1 Large Carrot -- Chopped
* 5 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
* 2 Medium Bay Leaf
* 1 Medium Jalapeno -- Chopped
* 2 Teaspoons Sugar
* 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
* 1 Pinch Allspice
* 1 Pinch Cayenne
* 1 Pinch Ground Cloves
* 1 Pinch Chili Powder
* Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
Recipe
Combine stock and ham. Bring to a boil, add all remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. Serve over rice if desired.
