1 1/2 lbs. lean ground chuck
1 onion
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole peeled tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Red pepper, crushed
Paprika
Chili powder
Ground cumin seed
Garlic salt

While browning ground chuck, add the onion and bell pepper, chopped and 2 teaspoons garlic salt. After ground chuck is browned, pour off excess grease. Add whole peeled tomato, chopped with juice. Add tomato sauce. Add water. Add 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, 2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder (2 is mild, 3 is hot) and 2 teaspoons cumin. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer, uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour or simmer, covered 1 1/2 hours. Serves 4 to 6.
