List of Ingredients
1 pkg. (16 oz.) black beans
1 can (12 oz.) beer
1 ½ lbs. ground venison or buffalo
1 large onion
3 to 4 chopped jalapeno peppers
3 tablespoons chili powder (or to taste)
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon oregano
2 cans stewed tomatoes
Dash salt and pepper
Recipe
Rinse beans and soak overnight in 6 to 8 cups of water. Bring beans to a hard boil; add 2 more cups water and 1 can beer. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour. Brown meat and onion slightly; add to beans with the jalapenos, spices and tomatoes. Simmer 2 to 3 hours, until beans are tender. Correct liquid and spices to your taste. Serves 8 to 10.
