    2 onions, chopped
    1 poblano, or bell pepper, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
    Oil
    4 lbs.. coarsely ground round or chuck
    6 Tbs. chili powder
    2 Tbs. cumin
    1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, crushed
    1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
    1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped
    Just enough water to cover

    Recipe



    Sauté first 4 ingredients in oil till tender. Add meat and brown. Add remaining ingredients using only enough water to make it soupy. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 2 1/2 hours. Test for salt and simmer another 1/2 hour.
