    2 lbs very lean beefburger or
    2 lbs lamburger
    2 lbs sausage
    1 large onion, minced
    1 tbsp salt
    1 tsp each oregano and cilantro
    2 cans enchilada sauce or
    8 oz frozen red chili puree

    Recipe



    Brown ground meat; drain off any grease. Brown sausage.
    Blend meats; add onions, salt and spices.Add enchilada sauce or puree. Stir in about 2 cups water. Cook on simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour or longer uncovered. DO NOT
    ADD TOMATOES OR BEANS!! Tomatoes belong in the
    salad and beans are a side dish!!!! Serve with rice, beans, cornbread and tossed salad.

    This can be put in the crockpot (add a couple of hours to
    cook time) or in cast iron chili pot.

    This serves about 10.
