1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. hot sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
2 T. chili powder
1 t. each salt, dried oregano and ground cumin
1/4 t. garlic powder
3-4 c. tomato juice
1 16 oz. elbow macaroni
Recipe
Brown beef and sausage in a large fry pan. Add onion and green pepper, cook and stir until tender. Drain grease. Add seasonings and about 3 cups tomato juice. Cover and simmer. Cook macaroni 5 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain and add to meat mixture. Simmer 10-15 minutes to finish cooking macaroni and blend flavors. Add more tomato juice if needed.
