1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
3 1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 - 1/3 cup water
Recipe
Beat margarine and brown sugar. Add molasses. Sift together flour, cloves, ginger, baking soda,cinnamon and salt. Gradually add cold water. Blend in enough water to form ball. Roll out on floured board and cut with cookie cutter shapes. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned. Ice and decorate when cooled.
