    Chocolate Cherry Cake

    Base-
    1 package devil's food cake mix
    21 oz. can cherry pie filling
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 beaten eggs

    Frosting-
    1 cup sugar
    5 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 cup milk
    1 cup chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350° F.
    Grease a 9" x 13" pan.
    In a large bowl combine base ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into greased pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.

    Frosting: In a small sauce pan combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over warm cake.
