    2 T. butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 t. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    powdered sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/8 t. baking soda
    1 tube decorator icing (optional)


    In a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, melt butter. In a medium mixing bowl combine brown sugar, nuts, flour and baking soda; stir in eggs and vanilla. Pour batter over butter in pan; do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Sift powdered sugar over the top. Cool slightly and cut into bars.

    Using the decorator tube of icing, write "Noel" on each bar if desired.
