Pumpkin Squares

Judy's Recipe
1 cup margarine, melted
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup pumpkin, canned or fresh
1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 recipe Frosting
3 ounces softened cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix margarine, sugar and blend in 4 eggs. Add pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla; mix well. Blend in flour. Spread the batter into a greased 13x9x2-inch pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
Frosting: Cream together cream cheese and margarine. Stir in vanilla and powdered sugar a little at a time. Beat well until the mixture is smooth.
