Vendor Style Onions

Judy's Recipe
3 T. oil
3 to 4 large onions, quartered then sliced crosswize
1½ T. paprika
¾ t. salt
¼ t. cumin
black pepper to taste
In a large skillet heat oil and add onions, toss til coated with oil. Add paprika, salt, cumin and pepper. Toss again. Cover and simmer about 25 minutes or til tender but still a little firm, stirring often. Do not brown. If mixture becomes too thick add a little water.
Serves with hotdogs or hamburgers.
