    Hummus & pita bread - simple, elegant, nutritious, peasant food fit for a king!

    List of Ingredients




    1 540 ml can chick peas, drained & rinsed
    ¼ cup tahini (I usually substitute peanut butter 'cus that's what I have)
    ¼ cup water, or as needed
    1 large clove garlic, crushed
    Juice of 1 lemon
    ½ tsp. ground cumin
    Salt & pepper, to taste
    Paprika for garnish

    Recipe



    Combine all ingredients, except the last 2, in the container of a food processor. Process until smoothly blended, adding water if necessary.
    Season with salt & pepper and dust with paprika.
