    FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE

    List of Ingredients




    French bread loaf cut into 1 inch slices
    6 eggs
    ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1½ cups milk
    1½ cups half and half

    Topping:
    ½ cup soft butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    3 Tablespoon dark corn syrup
    1 cup chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Spray a 9x13 pan.
    Place bread slices in pan.
    Mix the next 6 ingredients together and pour over bread slices.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Mix the topping ingredients together.
    Cover and refrigerate, but do not put on casserole until the morning!!!
    In the morning, spread the topping over the bread slices.
    Bake at 350º until golden brown, about 40 mins.
