    1/2 cup (about 1/2 medium) Golden Delicious apples
    Dash each ground cinnamon and nutmeg
    1/3 cup each apple juice and water
    1/3 cup quick-cooking rolled oats, uncooked
    1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)

    Recipe



    Combine apples, juice, water and seasonings; bring to boil. Stir in
    rolled oats; cook 1 minute. Cover and let stand several minutes before
    serving. Makes a 1 cup serving.
