    8 cups sliced fresh peaches
    2 cups sugar
    2-4 tbsp flour
    1 tsp almond or vanilla flavoring
    1/3 cup butter
    Pastry for a double crust pie
    Vanilla ice dream

    Recipe



    Combine peaches, sugar, flour. Bring to a boil,
    then reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes or until tender. Add
    flavoring and butter.

    Roll half of pastry into an 8-inch square. Spoon
    half of peaches into a lightly buttered 8-inch square pan; top
    with pastry square. Spoon remaining peaches over baked
    pastry square.

    Roll out remaining pastry; cut into 1-inch wide
    strips. Arrange pastry strips in a lattice design over peaches.
    Bake for 15 minutes. Serve with ice cream. Serves 8.
