1 qt. fruit
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup additional sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup whole milk
Recipe
Any fruit in season may be used in this dish.
Place fruit in a deep baking dish with water and sugar; cover
and cook until fruit is tender.
Meanwhile, cream butter and 1/4 cup additional
sugar; add beaten egg and dry incredients with milk. Beat.
Pour over hot fruit and bake, uncovered, for 30 min. at 350
degrees. Makes 6 servings.
