    8 cups sifted flour
    4 teaspoons baking soda
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    2 Tablespoons ginger
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    2 teaspoons salt

    Recipe



    Sift above ingredients and cut in 1 1/2 cups shortening. Store in an air-tight container in a cool place.

    To use, to two cups Gingerbread Mix, add 3/4 cup molasses, 3/8 cup buttermilk or sour milk and 1 beaten egg. Mix well. Bake in a greased pan at 375° F for 25 to 30 minutes.
