    This french toast can be made in large batches and frozen for later use.


    List of Ingredients


    • 6 large eggs
    • 1/4 C. milk
    • 1/4 to 1/2 C. superfine sugar
    • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
    • cinnamon
    • Texas Toast
    • vegetable oil


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl with a flat bottom, large enough to lay a piece of bread in. Cinnamon is to taste (about 1/4 tsp.). Mix together will with a fork. If mixture is too runny add more eggs, if too thick more milk. Heat pan and a bit of oil. Quickly dip bread into egg mixture and let extra drip off. Fry until golden brown , turning once. Spread with butter right away. Test first one for sweetness, if needed add more sugar.


    Final Comments


    We like to eat ours without syrup so we make the egg mixture very sweet.

    Any kind of bread can be used but Texas Toast or any thick cut bread is best
