    Tomato & Cheese Biscuits

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 cups biscuit mix
    • 3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
    • 1 TBS. granulated sugar
    • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    • 2/3 cup tomato juice or spicy vegetable juice cocktail


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 450. Grease a baking sheet.
    2. Combine biscuit mix, cheese, sugar and cayenne pepper in a large bowl and mix well.
    3. Stir the tomato juice into the biscuit mixture until a soft dough forms. Transfer to a lightly floured surface. Knead lightly just until smooth, about 10 times.
    4. Roll dough to 1/3" thickness. Cut with a 1 1/2" biscuit cutter; arrange on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden, about 7-9 minutes.
