    4 cups (dry) of egg noodles, cooked according to pkg

    1 can of cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup milk
    1 T dry onion soup mix
    1/4 cup french fried onions, crushed (same ones you use in green bean casserole)
    salt & pepper
    1 can of tuna
    1 can of sliced mushrooms (optional)
    1 cup of frozen peas, thawed (optional)
    1-2 cups shredded cheese
    additional french fried onions for the top, about half a cup

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 375, spray a 2 qt baking dish (or 9x13 pan) and set aside.

    While the noodles cook, mix up the sauce: in a large mixing bowl, whisk together the soup, sour cream, milk, soup mix, and onions. Then gently stir in the tuna, mushrooms and peas (if using), and cheese. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Drain the noodles and add to the sauce, mixing everything together. Turn into the prepared dish, cover and bake for 45 minutes. Remove cover, sprinkle the top with remaining onions and return to the oven for 5-10 minutes.

    Allow to set for 5 minutes before serving.
