    Apple Sauce Muffins

    1/2 cup butter

    1 C brown sugar

    1 C applesauce

    2 1/4 C sifted flour

    1/2 t soda

    1/2 t salt

    1 t baking powder

    1/2 t cloves

    1/2 t cinnamon

    1/4 t nutmeg

    1/3 C chopped nuts (optional)

    2/3 C raisins (optional)

    Recipe



    Cream butter & sugar until light: add applesauce & remaining

    ingredients. Pour into 9"x5"x3" loaf pan, lined on the bottom

    with wax paper. Bake @ 325 about 1 hr.
