Recipe Introduction
Despite the gizards, hearts, livers, & kidneys, this is the best dressing I've ever had. Even without the organs, it's a great, old fashion, recipe. Grandma would approve!
List of Ingredients
1 pan of cornbread (with buttermilk), cooked in a cast iron skillet, diced and dried on a cookie sheet.
1 1/2 cups of chicken stock (or giblet juice..retch).
1 cube butter
2 cups chopped celery
1 1/2 cups diced onions
1 1/2 t poultry seasoning
1 1/2 t sage
2 beaten eggsRecipe
Heat all ingredients except bread & eggs & cool. Add beaten eggs to cooled juice and pour over diced cornbread. Serve. Thanks, Grandma...
