Mom's Ham & Rice Casserole

Recipe Introduction
This is one of those childhood memory recipes. It's easy and tasty, but no matter how many times I make it, it doesn't taste as good as Mom's.
List of Ingredients
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced onion
1 1/2 cups chopped ham
1 cup rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups water
garlic, salt & pepper to taste
1 T olive oil
1 T butterRecipe
Saute celery & onions in butter & olive oil, add S & P & garlic. Add all remaining ingredients, mix and bake in pre-heated oven (375 degrees) for 45 minutes. Let sit for 15 minutes before serving. Mom used to bake this in a pyrex bowl.
