Cheddar Broiled Tomatoes

Makes: Makes 6 servings, 1 tomato half each.
3 large tomatoes, cut in half
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
3/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. paprika
PREHEAT broiler. Cut thin slice from bottom of each tomato half; discard. Place tomatoes on rack of broiler pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
MIX bread crumbs, cheese and butter until well blended; spoon evenly over tomatoes. Sprinkle with paprika.
BROIL, 3 to 5 inches from heat, 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
How To Make Fresh Bread Crumbs
Tear bread slices into pieces, then process into crumbs using a blender or food processor.
Round Out The Meal
