    Cabbage Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 medium head of cabbage
    • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 can water
    • 1 cup grated cheese
    • 1 can rotel (mild)
    • salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Cook meat and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    2. Chop cabbage and place in the bottom of a 9 x 13 casserole dish.

    3. When meat mixture is brown, add rice to meat and onions, stirring well.

    4. Pour meat mixture evenly over cabbage. Mix soup, rotel and water and pour over meat and cabbage.


    5. Cover with foil.


    6. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

    7. Top with grated cheese. Let melt before serving.



    Final Comments


    This can be doubled to make two 9 x 13 dishes.
