Chocolate-Chip Oatmeal Cookies

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 2 tablespoons dutch process unsweetened cocoa
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup margerine, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brwon sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets.
- Stir together flour, oatmeal, cocoa and baking soda in a bowl.
- Beat together margerine, granulated sugar and brown sugar, in large bowl, until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Stir in flour mixture until well blended.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets, leaving two inches between cookies.
- Bake in preheated oven until lightly browned on top.
- Let stand on cookie sheets for 3 minutes. Remove cookies to rack to cool.
Final Comments
Makes five dozen cookies.
