    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup buttermilk baking mix
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 3 tablespoons plus 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 2/3 cup hot tap water


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. In a greased eight-inch square baking dish, mix baking mix, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons of cocoa.
    3. Stir in milk and vanilla until blended.
    4. Sprinkle evenly with remaining 1/3 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar.
    5. Pour water over top. No need to stir.
    6. Bake 40 minutes or until top is firm.
    7. Dust lightly with confectioners sugar, if desired.
    8. Spoon while hot into dessert bowls; top cake with sauce.
