    2/3 cup shortening
    1/2 cup sugar
    1- 6 ounce package chocolate chips, melted
    1/2 cup lite corn sirup
    1-3/4 cup flour
    2 teaspoons soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    Sugar
    50-60 chocolate mints

    Recipe



    Mix shortening, sugar and egg, and beat till creamy.
    Blend in chocolate and corn sirup.
    Add dry ingredients and chill several hours.
    Shape dough in balls size of a nickle, roll in sugar.
    Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
    Do not cool.
    Turn half the cookys upside down on rack, top with mint and second cooky and as mint starts to melt carefully push cookys together to form mint filling.
