    2 cups brown sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 egg
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1-1/2 cup rhubarb chopped fine(if frozen do not thaw)
    2 cups flour

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients well and pour into 9 by 13 pan.
    Bake 350 for 40 minutes.

    Sprinkle over batter before baking a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon
