    Strawberry Ripple Mold

    3/4 cup sugar
    1-1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
    1/4 cup water
    1 cup crushed strawberries
    1 quart vanilla ice cream
    whole strawberries


    Recipe



    Mix first 4 ingredients, bring to boil and stir and cook for two minutes, and chill.
    Remove ice cream and soften slightly. Pour 1/2 cup sauce in bottom of chilled 6 cup mold. Line bottom and sides with thin shell of ice cream and freeze. Fill mold to top with alternate layers of ice cream and sauce, reserving 1/2 cup sauce for garnish, Cover and freeze.
    When ready to serve run knife around top of mold to loosen ice cream. Dip bottom of mold quickly in warm water. Invert on serving plate, shake to remove mold. Return ice cream to freezer to firm. Just begore serving pour reserved sauce over top and garnish with berries.
