Beef Tips
List of Ingredients
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp pepper
4# beef or sirloin tips chunked up
1/2 cup chopped shallots or green onions
2 cans ( 4 oz each) sliced mushrooms, drained,
or 1/2# fresh mushrooms sliced
1 can (10 1/2 oz) condensed beef broth
1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
2 tsp tomato paste or ketchup
1/4 cup dry red wine or water
3T. flour
Buttered noodles
Recipe
Combine 1/2 cup flour with the salt and pepper and toss with beef cubes to coat thoroughly.
Place in Crock-Pot. Add shallots,and mushrooms.
Combine beef broth,Worchestershire sauce and tomato paste. Pour over beef and vegetables. stir well.
Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 12 hours.
One hour before serving, turn to high setting.
Make a smoothe paste of red wine and 3 T flour.
Stir into Crock-Pot, mixing well. Cover and cook until thickened. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
