    Creamed Cabbage

    List of Ingredients


    • 8 slices bacon
    • 1/4 cup butter
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 large head of cabbage shredded and cored
    • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. Cook bacon till crisp, cool

    2. in bacon fat add flour, butter and salt, whisk till all dissolved

    3. shred finely the cabbage in the food processor

    4. add cabbage to bacon mixture, stir occasionally and cover till the cabbage is crisp tender about 15 min.

    5. Crumble the bacon over the cabbage mixture, add the sour cream and stir, salt and pepper to taste, then add the brown sugar stir to combine

    6. Serves 6
