    4-5 slices French Bread
    3 Tbls. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 egg yolk
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1/2 cup whipping cream
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 Tbls. vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    Powdered sugar

    Recipe



    Butter both sides of bread and place in an 8x8 greased baking dish. In a bowl beat the eggs and yolk. Add milk, cream, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg; mix well. Pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate over night.

    Remove from frig 1/2 hr before baking. Bake uncovered at 350¼F for 45-55 minutes til center is cooked. Cool a few minutes before serving. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
