    Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Dinner

    2 fresh whole frying chickens, rinsed, giblets removed
    2-1/2 lbs. large carrots, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
    12 potatoes, peeled
    2 packages dry onion soup mix
    2 tsp. basil
    2 cups chicken stock or dry white wine

    Recipe



    Place chicken, carrots, and potatoes in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over. Cover and cook on high about 5 hours or on low about 9 hours, until chicken leg and thigh come off easily when pulled.

    This recipe serves 8 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 4 only. The instructions describe how to prepare the ingredients for one pan. There are enough ingredients to prepare 2 pans.
