Teriyaki Chicken

List of Ingredients
1 fryer chicken cut up
2 Tbls. oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 Tbls. brown sugar
2 Tbls. water
1/4 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp. ginger
2-3 cups cooked rice
Recipe
In a large skillet brown the chicken pieces in oil on all sides. Move chicken pieces to crock pot. Combine all other ingredients except the rice and pour over the chicken pieces. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce to low and cook 4-5 more hours. Remove chicken and place on a serving platter on top of cooked rice. Spoon juices over chicken. You can thicken the juices w/ cornstarch if you wish.
