Fresh Strawberry Cream Pie

1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
dash nutmeg
1 pint ripe strawberries, sliced
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar,
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 9 inch graham cracker crust


Recipe



Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg, mixing until well blended. Mash about half of the strawberry slices, stir into cream cheese mixture. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Fold into cream cheese mixture along with remaining strawberries. Spoon into crust. Chill several hours or overnight. Garnish with additional strawberries if desired.
