    Recipe Introduction

These cookies are great because they are soft and cakelike. It is best to make them small because a big cookie might start to fall apart. Editor, Kevin

    List of Ingredients

    Cookies:
    1/4 stick butter
    1 egg
    1/2 cup + 2 Tbl sugar
    1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup buttermilk with 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda ?? (Yes, the recipe actually had this with a question mark LOL, I think I added it though)
    1 1/2 cups of flour

    Lofthouse Icing:
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1/4 cup shortening
    2.5 Tbs milk
    1/2 tsp vanilla

    Recipe

Mix all cookie ingredients together, set and chill overnight. (I think I only chilled it for a few hours, overnight is recommended) Flour your hands and roll dough into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet and make at 350 for 7-10 minutes. Test it like you would a cake to make sure a tester comes out clean.

    To Make Frosting:
Cream together shortening and powdered sugar until smooth. Slowly mix in milk and vanilla until frosting is smooth and stiff (approximately 4-5 minutes). Color frosting with food coloring if desired.
