PAM's NOTES ON THE CRUMBS:
I like more crumb than cake, so I'd increase them.
I'd add 1/3 to 1 additional tsp cinnamon.
I'd probably add some finely chopped walnuts to the topping.
CRUMBS:
3 sticks butter + 1 additional stick
1 1/2 c. sugar + 1/2 additional cup
3 c. flour + 1 additional cup
1 tsp. cinnamon + 1/3 to 1 additional tsp.
+ some finely chopped walnuts
CAKE:
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk

Prepare Crumbs:
Cream sugar and butter. Blend in flour and cinnamon. Roll up in wax paper and store in refrigerator overnight.
Cake:
Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and powder. Add a little at a time to sugar mixture with milk. Mix well. Grease and flour 9x13" pan. Put cake batter in, then crumbs. Bake at 350°F for 45-60 minutes or until done.
PAM's NOTE: I'd probably add an icing drizzle of some type.
