1 cup butter
2 cups honey
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon

Cream butter and honey well. Add beaten eggs, buttermilk, flour-sifted with soda, spices and salt. Mix well and bake in 2 layers at 275°F for about 30 minutes. Watch closely, honey cake burns very easy.
