    2 c. + 2 T. whole wheat flour
    1 t. baking soda
    1 t. baking powder
    1/2 t. cinnamon
    1/8 t. ground cardamom (optional)
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. honey
    3 eggs
    1 t. almond extract
    1 c. yogurt

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and honey in a large bowl. When smooth, beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in extract. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with yogurt, stirring smooth after each addition. Pour batter into an oiled, floured 9x5" loaf pan. Rap on counter to remove air. Bake for 50-60 minutes until top is golden and cake tests done. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove to a rack.
