    Recipe Introduction

Author's Note: I just made this for DD's class; wow are they intense. Very good. You can cut these into smaller pieces. Very rich but good...I powdered the top with some powdered sugar and they look great.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 c Shortening
    1 C Molasses
    1/4 c Milk
    1 egg
    2 C Flour
    1/3 tsp Salt
    2 tsp Ginger
    1 tsp Salt

    Recipe

Sift together flour, salt, ginger and soda. Melt shortening and add it to the molasses with the slightly beaten egg and milk. Mix well, then beat in flour. Turn into well greased shallow pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Remember, Molasses burns faster than sugar.
