List of Ingredients
2 Tbl butter (separated into one Tbl each)
1/2 lb wide egg noodles
1 lb ground chuck
1/3 cup chopped green onions
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
salt and pepper
1 (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
Recipe
Cook egg noodles and set aside. In 1 tbls butter saute the ground chuck, the green onions, seasoned with salt and pepper. I also added a few dashes of garlic powder. After this is browned, drain well and add the two cans of tomato sauce.
In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese, mixing well.
Layer 1/2 the egg noodles in a 2 qt casserole. Cover with the cream cheese mixture. Layer the remaining noodles. Melt the other 1 tbl
butter and drizzle over the top layer of noodles. Cover with the meat mixture.
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and refrigerate a few hours or overnight. Cook at 350F for 45 minutes.
