Recipe Introduction
This is a very nice casserole and has a really good flavor. I added a little black pepper with the seasonings. It is very easy to make. Mrs. Delores Townley, Marietta, GA ********************************** Cooking Tip: Crush leftover potato chips or pretzels, and use to top casseroles.
List of Ingredients
1 pkg (8 oz) medium egg noodles
1 C Cottage cheese
1 carton (8 oz) sour cream
1/2 C minced onion
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 t salt
1/2 t garlic salt
3/4 C cubed Cheddar cheese
Recipe
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain noodles; fold in cottage cheese, sour cream, and onion. Set aside. Cook meat until no longer pink; drain. Add tomato sauce and seasonings; simmer for 10 minutes. Spoon half of noodle mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole; top with half the meat mixture. Repeat layers and bake at 350°F.
for 30 minutes. Remove from oven; sprinkle with cheese, and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
