    4 cups farina or flour
    1 cup oil
    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
    2 cups warm honey, divided
    2 jiggers brandy
    Juice and rind of 1 orange
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon cloves
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 cup water
    1 cup granulated sugar
    Chopped walnuts for garnish (optional)

    Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine flour with oil and butter until creamy. Add confectioner's sugar, 1 cup honey, brandy, juice, rind, cinnamon, cloves and baking powder. Work dough with hands until smooth (about 20 minutes). Roll into balls the size of an egg; flatten on 1 side. Bake on a greased baking tray 20 minutes. In a medium saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar and remaining cup of honey until a smooth syrup is formed; set aside and keep hot. Dip hot cookies in hot honey syrup 3 minutes. Drain; sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Makes servings.
