Recipe Introduction
Can't remember which newspaper I originally found this recipe in but it was ages ago. I made this recipe for Christmas presents when I first found it. They were a BIG hit. These cookies are very rich, decadent and delicious. Truly a "once-a-year" indulgence, but oh so worth it! Such a good recipe that I have it posted in multiple places so I never lose it!
List of Ingredients
1/2 C Butter
1/4 C Sugar
1 t Vanilla
1 C minus 1 T Flour
1/8 t Baking Powder
1/2 C Chunky Chocolate (Bakers Semi-Sweet is best)
1/3 C salted, Roasted Pecans Recipe
Cream the Butter and Sugar.
Add the Vanilla, and Dry Ingredients, then add chocolate and nuts.
Bake at 300°F for 45-55 minutes.
Makes six cookies (but they are a really good six cookies.)
They are rich and buttery when hot, and have a nutty roasted flavor when they cool. and they go great with coffee or milk. R.Haen 5-97
