Peanut Butter Cookies II

2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup of Margarine
1 Cup of Peanut Butter
1 Cup White Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon VanillaRecipe
Stir first four ingredients and set aside. In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat margarine and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in sugars until blended, then add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and beat until well blended. Shape into one inch balls. (If dough is too soft, chill for a few hours). Place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly and decorate with candied cherries or flatten with fork dipped in colored sugars. Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and cool on rack and ENJOY!
