Recipe
This recipe for English Walnut Snowball Cookies, by Marie Shelton, is from The Mount Dora Police Family Cookbook
Beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar and beat until combined. Add water & vanilla, and beat until combined. Use mixer and add as much flour and the nuts with a wooden spoon. Shape dough into 3/4 inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325º for 12-15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Put powdered sugar in a plastic bag. While cookies are still warm, place 2 or 3 at a time into bag and gently shake, until cookies are well coated. Cool cookies on wire racks. When cookies are completely cooled, shake cookies again in powdered sugar. Makes 72 cookies.
