1 pound butter (NO substitutes)
1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups sifted flour


Recipe



Cream butter and gradually add sugar. Work in flour by hand, but do not over mix. Pat dough in an ungreased jelly roll pan. Prick with fork over entire top of dough. Bake at 375°F for 5 minutes, then turn oven back to 300°F continue to bake 45-60 minutes or until golden. Cut immediately into squares of desired size.
